It’s fashion revolution week!

Fashion Revolution believes in a global fashion industry that conserves and restores the environment and values people over growth and profit.

In the spirit of Fashion Revolution Week, here’s a BIG something we are passionate about; sustainable fashion.

Did you know that the fashion industry is one of the biggest polluters in our world? And a garment can be labeled sustainable even if it contains synthetic fabrics. Polyester is about the worst offender, with these garments shedding plastic microfibers into waterways with each wash. Fabrics such as nylon might be durable, but production involves crude oil use and high carbon dioxide emissions (a key driver of global climate change).

How we’re doing our part

All of our Seated Massage tees are made from Global Organic Textiles Standard (GOTS) organic cotton. This means that the cotton is sustainably farmed and the entire process avoids toxic chemicals. Meeting GOTS requires a traceable and transparent supply chain in addition to reduced waste, water and energy consumption. Another bonus? Processors and manufacturers must be socially responsible. Win-win.

We have our tees hand printed locally using non-toxic dyes and inks. Sure it’s a little more expensive. Almost everything worthwhile is. We see it as an investment in ourselves, our business, others and our environment.
