When Tim makes himself available to visit our clients we rest easy, knowing they’re in the best of hands.
Please tell everyone who you are.
I am a soft tissue therapist with a clinical focus on remedial massage.
I love learning and helping others which is why I am studying a Bachelor of Nursing and Paramedicine.
I took the long route to get to where I am and served 12 years in the Air Force before committing to a life change to health care. Which although is not as financially rewarding I have found more fulfilling and enjoyable since transitioning.
Is Corporate Massage ‘it’ for you or do you apply your skills in private practice? If yes, how and where?
I’m also working for myself doing mobile massage around Canberra and the surrounding region. (Canberra people, if you want a one on one treatment, Tim is your man! Ed).
It takes a special kind of person to work as a touch practitioner. Why do you do it?
I love being able to improve the quality of life for people. I found massage as the key to my improvement from physical injury and as such wish to pass this on by helping others.
How does what you do every day contribute to the greater good of your community, or thinking big, the planet!?
By helping even just a single person this has a flow on effect.
If a person is feeling better about themselves as a result of receiving positive touch (through massage) then not only is their physical disposition improved but also their mental state.
Reducing pain and improving movement results in less anger and anxiety. This improved mental state results in treating others better, which reduces anger and resentment within the community. The happier society is generally, the better the planet can be.
And importantly, because you’re a normal (super) human, what is the most normal thing about you?
I enjoy cycling and American football.
